A: Hello again, I do remember you, glad to see thing worked out with your software purchase. I do stock lots of the models, but if we don't have it I can place a custom order, which will be here fairly quickly, and in time to deliver it to you before you go. Q: We have a fairly detailed map we like to produce from scratch based on some field notes and drawings which our field guys collected. Can you explain your policy on drafting projects as such .....
A: Hello. Our normal operation, once we have viewed all material, is to provide our clients with a free estimate on drafting projects. This estimate is a rough guideline of what our understanding of the time required to finish such a project, and provide at least a first proof, based on the requested specifications given at the start of the project. We will always try to stay as close as possible to this estimate, however if revisions / additions continue to arise, which is sometimes the case in larger mapping projects, we will indicate to client that some extra time will be due. So from this point on, we will be working as per our hourly rate to finish each revision. Having provided this new material, the client may also request an additional quote from us at that point to get an idea of the time needed to finish, and so on until all done .....
Q: I have a digital photo (jpg) that I took on my vacation, and I'm interested in getting some pricing to print & Plaque Mount it. I like it to be 18x23" (is that 42 UI?), is this possible? Are the prices on your web site include printing? Thanks .....
A: The only limiting factor on the size is the resolution of your photo. Why don't you Email it to me, and I can take a look and make some recommendations. The Pricing schedule on our "Picture Framing" page only lists the cost for Plaque Mounting, 42 UI is correct. If you provide us the actual printed print this would be your price. Better discounts are offered on larger orders. To print your photo, look at the pricing under "Plotting & Repro." page. There is a variety of media to choose from, for color or Bk/Wh large format Printing, all based on square footage. Printing on bond works great with Plaque Mounting. You may also want to consider printing on Artist Stretch Canvas, then get us to matte laminate and stretch your printed Canvas, we will quote you for that service. But from our site you should be able to work out your cost to Print & Plaque, no problem. However, please contact me if you are unsure of anything, or have any other questions. A: Hi. Sorry, but we do not offer demos on those two software, nor on most packaged software that we sell. We can only provide samples of products we make, such as our vector and raster digital maps, Topo maps, etc. Digital Product sales are final, no exchanges or refunds. You will notice this same policy exists with most Map Stores. We will stand behind the information we provide you as being true, weather by Email, fax, phone, or listing on our web site. Please let me know if there are any certain features or questions you may have on these two software, and I will get you some answers before you purchase them .....
